Installations Exempt from the Standards

The following types of water heater installations are exempt from these standards:

• Water heater installations serving non-residential premises, for example commercial premises or sheds;
• Water heater installations serving established dwellings not connected to an SA Water supply; and
• Water heaters servicing multiple apartments in a class 2 building (a multi storey apartment building).
